Crown Yoga is a new, local, woman-owned yoga studio located in the Fairwood/Cascade neighborhood of Renton. We are looking for experienced yoga teachers who live yoga on and off the mat! You are passionate about your craft, able to genuinely connect with students and build community, and are looking for a studio where you can develop your skills, experience, and social connections. This position requires a teacher who is outgoing, organized, reliable, and engaged within our studio.

This is an employee (W2) teacher position, which includes responsibilities in addition to teaching classes.

Crown Yoga offers Hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, slow flow, Yoga Nidra, and fusion yoga classes, in addition to sound bath sessions, series classes, workshops, events, and (soon) retreats. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the studio a min of 15 minutes before your class starts, leaving enough time for proper set up

  • Create connections and community within each class and among all students

  • ·Communicate the studio’s membership options, class schedules, and teacher and class styles to students, guests, drop-ins and other potential students

  • Demonstrate an ability model poses and cue students while walking around the room

  • Provide adjustments and modifications in a safe and professional way to accommodate all ability levels as needed

  • End classes on time

  • Clean before leaving the studio, including wiping clean the altars, dust and spot mopping the floors and tidying up the prop wall

  • Learn and use the booking software, managing your classes and subs within

  • Participate in events as needed

  • Additional duties as required

Minimum Required Experience and Skills

We are looking for teachers who have:

  • 200-hour yoga teacher training certification (minimum)

  • CPR/AED and first aid certification (preferred)

  • 1 or more years of experience teaching yoga

  • An ability to create and lead classes in line with the studio’s mission, vision, and values

  • Demonstrated genuine warmth and authenticity

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Experience engaging positively and professionally with students and other teachers

  • Genuine interest in providing high quality client service and classes while building community within the studio

  • Demonstrated work ethic—responsible, reliable, communicative, and honest

  • Ability to reliably commute to Renton, Washington

Compensation: From $40 per class, DOE

Work Environment: In studio, in person only
