Reserving classes

Find the most value out of your membership with us by attending two to three classes per week, experiencing the variety of class and teacher styles. We recommend booking classes in advance; however, you are always welcome to drop in at the last minute! Your teacher is able to add you to the class almost instantly.

Class schedule

We offer a diverse range of classes at different times throughout the day. We encourage you to explore our offerings with your membership, trying out various classes and meeting different teachers to discover what best aligns with your wellness journey. Your attendance not only supports your own wellness goals but also helps shape our schedule. We update it quarterly to ensure it reflects student preferences and feedback.

Ability levels

All our classes are designed for every level of experience. Our masterful teachers are skilled at offering modifications to accommodate everyone—from those just beginning their yoga journey to seasoned practitioners and those with injuries.

Class cancellations

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel a class on short notice. Whenever possible, we kindly ask that you give us as much notice as you can. Our teachers put a lot of heart into preparing each class, and respecting this effort helps us maintain the quality of your experience. Additionally, early cancellations open up space for other students. Thank you for your understanding and consideration!

Events Calendar

In addition to classes, Crown Yoga offers a variety of workshops, series classes, and other events. Check out the events!

Preparing for class

Follow these helpful guidelines when attending class:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that breathe and allow you to move freely.

  • Avoid eating a heavy meal 1 to 2 hours before practice.

  • Avoid perfumes, scents, and body odor; essential oils are welcome.

  • Bring your yoga mat and a water bottle. We have bolsters, blankets, blocks, eye pillows, and straps to lend, along with a limited number of yoga mats. We also have a water cooler for cold water, and a tea station for before and after class. ♥️

  • We are not a hot yoga studio so towels are not required.

  • Please plan to arrive a little early—our doors open 15 minutes before class starts. To ensure everyone's safety and to avoid disrupting the flow of the class, we close the doors promptly when the class begins. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you warmly as you join us!

Shared Agreements

Kindly take a moment to read our Shared Agreements. These principles and studio etiquette are designed to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone—students, staff, and teachers alike. Our studio is a sacred space, and these agreements help us create a nurturing, non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone can thrive and build a beautiful, supportive community together.

Arriving to the studio

Saucha and our floor policy

Please take a moment to remove your shoes before entering the yoga room. This simple act helps us maintain a clean and inviting space for everyone to practice. In yoga, the first of the five Niyamas is saucha, which means purity or cleanliness, and it extends to both our physical space and our bodies. Many cultures view removing shoes before entering a space as a sign of respect. By leaving your shoes at the door, you honor this tradition and create a mindful transition into your practice, setting the stage for a more focused and enriching experience.

We provide shoe racks near the studio door. Thank you in advance for respecting this policy.

Our location

We are located in the Cascade Village shopping center, in the same building as the former bowling alley. Our studio is on the south side of the building. We face the Water Babies and Fairwood Martial Arts buildings. Our address is 17056 116th Avenue SE, Renton, WA 98058.

Parking

We have plenty of parking right out in front of our space and to the west of the building.

Arrival time

Please plan to arrive a little early—our doors open 15 minutes before class starts. To ensure everyone's safety and to avoid disrupting the flow of the class, we close the doors promptly when the class begins. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you warmly as you join us!

Entering the space mindfully

  • When you enter, you may hang up your coat and bag, and place your shoes on the bench.

  • Please be mindful of the energy and calm of the the studio when you enter. We ask students enter with reverence and quiet, hang up their bags and place shoes in the benches.

  • Make sure your phones are off, on silent, or in airplane mode during class.

  • Note that no shoes are allowed on the studio flooring.

Security and Safety

Our studio shala has two security cameras that are in compliance with Washington State law and do not record audio. One camera faces the front door; the other camera faces the back door. The cameras exist for the safety and security of students, teachers, staff, guests, and anyone walking by the space. We also use footage for insurance purposes and in the event there is an injury, for liability purposes. Please contact our administration if you have questions about the cameras.

Preparing your practice space

  • We have all the props you will need for class. We recommend bringing your own yoga mat but we do have some to lend for no charge.

  • Lay out your mat, grab your props, and use the restroom. (Restrooms are located in the common hallway behind the studio. Please see the back door on your way to the hallway for the restroom codes.)

  • Grab a tea if you have time and relax on your mat or chat with other students!

  • Please keep your voice to a whisper to respect the space and allow everyone to settle in quietly.

Adjustment cards

Teachers may offer hands-on adjustments during class. If so, they will remind you to grab a consent card, which you can place at the top of your mat. This lets your teacher know whether you are open or not to hands-on adjustments while in a pose.

Connect with your teachers

If you have any physical limitations, injuries, are pregnant, or have sensitivities to incense, please feel free to inform your instructor. Your comfort and well-being are important to us, and sharing this information helps us tailor the experience for your comfort.

Honor your body

In each yoga class, honor your body’s unique rhythm. If you ever feel overwhelmed, listen to your body, mind, and spirit. Feel free to take a seat or lie down, reconnect with your breath, and rejoin when you’re ready. Child’s Pose is a wonderful way to center yourself and find calm. Embrace the poses that resonate with you, and feel free to modify or skip those that don’t. Simply commit to staying for the whole class and enjoy the experience.

After class

Returning props

After class, please remember to put away your props. We have mat cleaner available if you’d like to freshen up your mat. If you borrowed a mat, kindly clean it before returning it. Thank you for helping us keep the space tidy!

Building community

We encourage you to grab a tea 🍵 and chat with other students and the teacher--start to build your yoga community! Your teacher will be available after class to answer any questions you may have.

Exiting the space

Please exit the space quietly as you leave.

Most of all…

Our studio is a space for rest, rejuvenation, wellness, and comfort. We warmly invite you to be here in whatever way helps you embrace and experience these feelings.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for joining our community and giving yourself the gift of wellness! ✨🌟
