Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of sound & vibration

During this shared auditory experience, participants will embark upon a variety of diverse tones and vibrations, intentionally devoid of a structured melody or beat. This deliberate arrangement allows participants to surrender to the sound, experiencing a profound meditative state. Be prepared to traverse the realms of consciousness, gently drifting in and out of awareness.

The impact on your body during a sound bath can be transformative. You may feel a sense of relaxation, profound calmness, or a rooted connection to the present moment. Your mind may undergo a spectrum of experiences, ranging from crystal-clear clarity to blissful emptiness, or being adorned with a kaleidoscope of colors, images, and shapes. Emotionally, the journey can be just as diverse, eliciting joy, happiness, gratitude, relief, or even moments of introspective sadness or annoyance. Remember, there's no predefined script – each encounter is unique and deeply personal.

It's important to acknowledge that everyone's threshold for sound and emotion is different. If at any point you find a sound too intense, loud, or uncomfortable, feel empowered to quietly exit the room. Similarly, if you encounter emotions or sensations that become overwhelming, there's absolutely no judgment in choosing to step out. Your well-being is our priority, and we encourage you to embrace your experience authentically, knowing that there is no right or wrong way to navigate a sound bath with Crown Yoga.

In Sarah's sound bath, participants will be immersed in a comprehensive experience. Upon entering the space, the ambiance is set with adaptive lighting (sight), creating a visually pleasing atmosphere. Throughout the session, you will encounter a blend of soothing sounds and invigorating vibrations taking you in and out of awareness. As the session concludes, you are treated to a refreshing cold essential oil-infused face towel and a quiet space in which to return to the moment.

Sound Bath FAQs

  • Renowned artist Sara Auster describes a sound bath experience as “a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body.”

  • Participants are “bathed” in sound waves produced by various musical healing instruments played by the practitioner. Sarah primarily uses quartz crystal singing bowls and Koshi chimes; however, you may also experience seed shell shakers, bamboo rain sticks, ocean drums, Tibetan singing bowls, and tuning forks.

  • The sounds and vibrations you will experience are varied and do not hook into a melody or beat. This allows you to release and let go, entering into a meditative state. You may find yourself drift in and out of awareness. Your body may become deeply relaxed, calm, or firmly grounded.  Your mind may experience clarity, peace, or nothing at all. You may see a variety of colors, images, shapes or patterns. You may experience a variety of emotions including joy and happiness, gratitude, relief, annoyance, or sadness. There is no right or wrong way to experience a sound bath.

  • Please know that if a sound bath experience is too strong, loud, or uncomfortable, it is OK for you to leave the room quietly. The same is true if you experience a feeling, sensation or emotion that is too strong or difficult to sit with. You may always leave the room or leave the venue.
