Reiki
Usui Shiki Ryoho is a Japanese healing art, also known as reiki (霊気). The Japanese word ‘reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy', and the Usui System is a way of working with reiki for the healing of self and others. Reiki is practiced by using palm healing or hands-on healing. Practitioners act as a conduit for high vibrational universal energy to be transferred through their palms to the client to regaining physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual harmony and wholeness (“healing”). All practitioners have received at least a second-degree attainment from a Reiki Master; the attunement opens up the practitioners energy fields in varying degrees to allow them to channel the reiki energy.
Just like meditation, yoga, or acupuncture, the effects of Reiki are cumulative.
