Pillow. A small or standard pillow will provide your head and neck with support. A small blanket can also work.
Eye pillow or mask. An eye pillow will provide gentle pressure over your eyes to relax, soothe tension and allow you to turn inward.
Journal & pen/cil. We will set intentions before and reflect after the practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
This is a legitimate question!
Normally, no. Please wear comfortable clothing. 😌
During summer seasons, you would want to wear a swimsuit if participating in our floating sound bath. These sessions are experienced in pools, on pool floats.
-
Participants are “bathed” in sound waves and vibrations produced by various healing instruments. Any of our sessions may include:
Quartz crystal sound bowls
Koshi chimes
Tongue drum
Seed pod shakers
Kalimba
Tuning forks
Nature sounds and birdsong
-
The sounds and vibrations you will experience are varied and intentionally do not hook into a melody or beat. This allows your brain and mind to release and let go. Eventually, your brain waves entrain with the vibrations of the bowls, developing alpha or theta brainwave states. You will learn a little more about this in the experience!
You may find yourself drift in and out of conscious awareness. This is the optimal experience!
Your body may become deeply relaxed, calm, or firmly grounded. You may experience restlessness or even fall asleep.
Your mind may experience clarity, or you may “see” images, shapes, colors, patterns, or nothing at all. You may feel the vibrations from the floor. You may experience a variety of emotions including joy or happiness, gratitude, relief, annoyance, sadness, or even cry. The possibilities are endless.
There is no right or wrong way to experience a sound bath!
-
Please know that if a sound bath experience is too strong, loud, or uncomfortable, it is OK for you to use ear plugs. Your body and brain will still receive the benefit of the vibrations from the bowls.
You may also leave the space if at any time you feel unsafe or experience sensory overloaded.
We ask that if you need to leave the space, you do so quietly so that other participants are not disrupted.
-
Yes.
Participants with the following health conditions need to check in with their medical team to confirm that a sound bath will be safe for them:
Epilepsy. Some rare forms of epilepsy may be triggered by sound. Please confirm with a medical professional that a sound bath is safe for you.
Implants or plates in the body (metal plates, pins, ball joints in particular). It is possible that the vibration of the sound may disrupt the function of metal in the body. Please confirm with a medical professional that a sound bath is safe for you.
-
Sound Baths are suitable for people of all ages from young children to the elderly.
No previous experience participating in a sound bath or meditation is required.
For this event specifically, participants must be 21+.
